True story.
Back in the 90’s there was this cat named Andy Hildebrand that had retired from the oil biznass…
A geophysicist for Exxon measuring sound waves below the surface to find oil deposits.
Total nerd shit that sounds like someone my kiddo would worship.
Anyway…
As the story goes…
In 1996, the dudes at a party and asked…
What else needs to be invented?
And some chick jokingly pops off…
“Why don’t you make a box that lets me sing in tune”
That got Andy’s mind to churning.
And he realized he could use the same type of algorithm’s from his oil business to modify someone’s vocal pitch.
Bad-uh-bing.
In 1997 he released Auto Tune to the world.
All started from his work at Exxon.
It became the go-to secret in the late 1990’s.
All while the vocal purist were kickin’ ’n screaming’
That’s cheating!
Reason I bring this up is how similar this is to AI.
See despite the criticism
Auto tune is now in 99% of all pop songs.
It gave less talented.
Less genetically gifted people a tool.
And now AI is doing the same thing.
Initially, I used this solely as an SEO content creation tool but now it’s going much further.
We’re taking all the stuff we’ve learned from building content for SEO and using to build stuff that sells.
All the “copywriting purist” are in for a rude awakening.
Would you have used autotune?
And will you be open to using AI to writing copy for your projects and client projects or will you go down kickin’ and screamin’?
